SPACE2IDGO at a glance
Unlocking access to third countries for European space innovation.
SPACE2IDGO is the very first structured action for Space Service Providers and Application Developers to directly address the huge economic potential of several industrial sectors, carefully selected at European and International level with a clear “market pull” orientation.
After a successful Strand 1 mission, SPACE2IDGO (SPACE CLUSTERS INTERNATIONAL DIVERSIFICATION GO) powered up and launched its Strand 2 project during a kick-off meeting held in Brussels on February 22nd and 23rd 2018.
Bringing together world-class expertise in space activities and high performance in 5 ground businesses (Mobility – Energy – Logistics, Creative Industries and Agriculture), the SPACE2IDGO consortium is made up of eight European clusters coming from 5 European countries: Aerospace Valley (coordinator – FR), Corallia/ Research Center Athena (GR), Skywin Wallona (BE), Logistics in Wallonia (BE), TeRN (IT), Madrid Aerospace Cluster (ES), Asociacion Sostenibilidad y Energias Renouvables (ES), ALSIA (IT).
Its main ambition is to implement the partnership’s joint Internationalisation Strategy Plan, boosting clusters presence and European SMEs business in 5 top-priority countries: Canada, United Arabic Emirates, Colombia, Chile and China.
Capitalizing on the results of SPACE2ID project (Strand 1), the consortium will concentrate its effort on the 5 market sectors (Mobility, Energy, Logistics, Creative Industries and Agriculture, or MELCA) where the use of satellite data provide strong added value and accelerate the development of new value chains.
